Chapter 2
I seem to lose control of everything as a whirlwind hits my body, throwing all of my limbs into the air as if my body were a light beach ball getting tossed by toddlers. As soon as the moment passes, I am left nearly unconscious and gasping for air. Sirens and flashing lights cloud my mind as I struggle to keep balance on the floor. As the ambulance rushed me to the hospital, friendly faces greeted my in the borders of my vision. A single wave and my heart melted as though it was finally releasing all of the hurt it held onto so dearly. A community was willing to welcome me while pain quivered through every inch of my body, how could I not leap at that chance? I could feel a heavy weight lift off of me as though I was my own burden. Hands grabbed me from all directions as if to cushion my new self, a baby born into the afterlife. As I could see those surrounding me, a quick glance down led me to realize I had left everything behind, all because of an accident with me as its hostess. As the names of those I left behind filtered quickly through my head, I couldn’t dare to disappear, but it was too late. My body was now an empty and lifeless shell, awaiting to be dumped into the dirt, to be forgotten and only talked about with a side dish of tears or drunk anger.
END.
